Protocols

Structured studies

A study protocol is a sequence of steps that participants go through in order, for example:

  • Rating scales, yes/no and multiple-choice questions
  • Guided audio with exact timing: time zero is the moment the audio starts, and markers in the audio are saved with the EDA
  • Sounds and on-screen texts at fixed times
  • Biofeedback tasks: calming, timed up-down phases, growing a tree

The steps continue automatically, so a session runs without the researcher's help.

Download any recording as tab-separated text: the EDA signal with timestamps, movement and the device name, and its markers in a second file.
